Semey State Medical University
Semey State Medical University was founded in 1952. It is considered as one of the best medical universities in Kazakhstan. The university was initially named as Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute. Later, the name of the university was changed to Semey State Medical University by the recommendation of the Health Service Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The very first batch of students got admission under the medicine program of Semey State Medical University in year 1953. Gradually, several other faculties were also introduced in the university. Faculties such ad pediatrics was started in 1963, stomatology in 1991, medio-prophylactically, pharmaceutical faculty and general medicine faculty was started in 2003.
