APS Certificate, a Mandatory Requirement For Indian Students To Study In Germany
Germany Embassy has made it compulsory for Indian students to submit an APS certificate along with other documents while applying for their visa application for studying in Germany. The academic records of the student will be assessed by the Academic Evaluation Center and based on that a the certificate will be provided.
From November 1, 2022, APS certificates will become mandatory document for the visa application according to the German Missions in India. Academic Evaluation Center will start accepting application for APS certificate from October 1, 2022.
Document Checklist For APS
- Duly Filled Application Form
- Passport Size Photo
- APS Fees Payment Receipt
- Aadhar Card
- Passport Copy
- Copies of Marksheets and Degree Certificates
- Language Certificate copy of German or English
Note: Duolingo, PTE, and MOI are not acceptable as a valid language certificate.
Application Procedure for APS Certificate
Recognized Language Tests Are Required For APS
Students need to provide proof of language ability in the language of instruction required for their desired study course or preparatory course in Germany. As a rule, at least a B2-level in the language of instruction is required.
Please note that for the visa process, only language certificates that are approved by the German Government will be accepted (such as Goethe Institute / Max Mueller Bhaven / ÖST, DSD, IELTS, and TOEFL).
